| Doctrinal
Basis of the Union:
The doctrinal basis of faith of the Union shall be the fundamental
truths of Christianity, including:
- The
unity of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit in the God head.
- The
Soverignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final
judgement.
- The
divine inspiration and entire truthfulness and trustworthiness
of the Holy Scriptures as originally given and its supreme authority
in all matters of faith and conduct.
- The
universal sinfulness and guilt of all mankind since the fall of
Adam, rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation without
respect of person and without discrimination on account of race,
colour, nation, social position or otherwise.
- Redemption
from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely
through the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ (as our
substitute), the incarnate Son of God.
- The
bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and
his ascension tot he right hand of God the father.
- The
presence and power of the Holy Spirit int he work of regeneration.
- The
justification of a sinner by the Grace of God through Faith in
Jesus Christ alone.
- The
indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit int he believer.
- The
one Holy universal church, which is the body of Christ and to
which all true believers belong.
- The
expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- The
unity of all believers in Christ without respect of persons, and
without discrimination on account of race, colour, nation, social
position or otherwise.
Our vision
Looking
at the Christian nature and that of the entire Christian Community
in the country, in spite of the mission calling upon the nation
of Uganda, the Christians need to be transformed inwardly to have
a meaningful relationship with the savior Jesus Christ, established
on a solid foundation on the fundamentals of the Christian faith
so that they are able to stand firm without compromising the faith,
in a world so full of wickedness and heresies.

KCU VISION 2006/7
"CHRIST
MUST INCREASE AND I MUST DECREASE" JOHN
3:30
TO:
RE:
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND APPRECIATION
Greetings to
you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, hope this letter finds
you in good health.
Following your obedience, sacrifice and commitment to the work of
the Lord in Kyambogo University through KCU, the leadership of KCU
would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all that you have
done to see continuity in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
When we look
back at how far we have come, truly, there is a reason to say it
is by the Grace of God that we have carried on to thus far. We are
hoping that individually and together as co-workers in Christ, we
will position ourselves this year so as to realize our vision: “Christ
must increase, But I must decrease” (John 3:30) as
well as accomplish our mission: ” To encourage a worthy tradition
of Christian living and cultivate genuine and responsible sense
of effective evangelism and true leadership”
As you may realize
that despite our different background, Christ still urges us to
be one, you are therefore called upon to be part of the movement
that will foster/encourage oneness (harmony) in the body of Christ
not otherwise FOR divided we fall but united, we stand firm. [“…that
ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of
one mind.” KJV-Philippians 2:2]
Remember that in all you do, you do it as unto the Lord and not
man (Ephesians 6:7), so let nothing be done in strife or vain glory;
but in lowliness of mind while esteeming others better than ourselves.
(Philippians 2; 3-4) This requires us to surrender/cast all our
cares unto God and letting Jesus Christ-the true vine to live His
life in us.
Finally brethrens, let’s run the race, pressing on towards
the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus
(Philippians 3:14) and knowing that no one can be against us if
God is for us.
May the Almighty
God increase you as continue to work in his vineyard, “For
God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which
ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the
saints, and do minister” Hebrew 6:10
I pray that
God grants you according to His riches in Glory, to be strengthened
with might by his spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell
in your hearts of faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, length,
depth and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes all
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God
now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all
that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, unto
him be glory by Christ Jesus through out all ages, world with out
end. Amen.
With Love

"You've
Got a Friend"
As I dream of
a place with a bridge
the water running gently below
a flower garden blooming near
what a beautiful place to go
A wonderful
place to dream of friends
those from the past, those who are new
to forever be there for them
whether they are happy or blue
A garden of flowers is so like our friends
each one so different in their own little way
to be without them is hard to imagine
for them I thank God each and every day
As with flowers,
some friendships blossom
and get closer and closer each day
some friendships fade with time
and turn our sunny days into gray
If there's ever
a time you wish to say hello
or some time you wish to spend
I hope that I am always able to say...
In me
You've Got A Friend
